LUKAS BEHNKEN

Lukas Behnken is the  founder and creative producer of Sterling Light Productions, a motion picture production company directing attention onto fictional and non-fictional stories that provoke deep questions about why we are who we are, seeking to provide insight into these matters. Through filmmaking – as a team of producers, directors, writers and actors; they address the nature of the human heart – with an emphasis on compassion, forgiveness, and generosity. 

A founding member and Managing Director of The Sherry Theater – Center for the Arts in the North Hollywood Arts District, along with Co Founder and Artistic Director, Scott Haze, Mr. Behnken led the visionary team and construction crew responsible for converting a once derelict computer store into the coveted and thriving black box theater it is today.  This is a not for profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of artists across all genres, he oversees all aspects of creative production and logistical arrangements. They have recently created Rattlestick West, a west coast branch of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.

Mr. Behnken wields two hats as he is often known to do, as both producer and actor in an immersive web series THE WELL, a sci-fi phenomenon sweeping quietly through entertainment circles and gaining huge buzz while in post production in October 2015. This is an interactive innovative show that deeply involves its audience.

Mr. Behnken produced a documentary on the life and achievement of African native Dr. Charles Mully and his organization the Mully Children’s Family. This project is complete and entering the distribution phase with a worldwide social action campaign being helmed by FORGOOD. where Mr. Behnken has joined Paul Blavin to be a part of the campaign.  The film website.

 

Mr Behnken is a part of the strategic team that creates events for BEACON HOLLYWOOD. This project is run and created by Kim Dorr Tilley.

Mr. Behnken thrives on turning ideas into reality, and has received both praise and recognition for his ability to solve unexpected and believed to be insurmountable challenges in all phases of production. He is a valued and recognized member of the Los Angeles and international creative community.

KATHERINE BOECHER

Katherine Boecher, (also known as “Pippi”), made her feature film debut in Shonda Rhimes’ CROSSROADS (2002), and has been drawing accolades for her work in television and film ever since, cementing her reputation as a multi-talented up-and-coming young actress. Most recently, she starred opposite Jackie Chan in the Lionsgate comedy THE SPY NEXT DOOR, (which grossed over $50 million worldwide). Katherine’s other major title film credits include director Michael Bay’s power-packed, action film BAD BOYS 2, as well as a memorable role opposite Winona Ryder, Wes Bentley and Ray Romano in the independent film THE LAST WORD (Official Sundance Film Festival Selection).

On television, the versatile actress is best known for her recurring guest star role on the CW’s SUPERNATURAL (as the demon Lilith), and she has toured the globe speaking to fans of the popular series. Katherine has also guest starred on Emmy winning shows like MAD MEN and THE CLOSER, as well as CSI:NY and PERCEPTION (TNT). Born in Beaumont, Texas, and raised in Kansas, Katherine began her career as a model at age 14, signing with the exclusive FORD modeling agency in New York, and at only 5’6″, becoming the shortest model to sign with the top agency. Katherine has traveled around the world extensively as an international model, walking the runways and living abroad in Milan, Paris, London and Tokyo. She has appeared in Italian Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, and Elle, among many other publications.

Wanting to explore more of her creative talents, Katherine first moved to Los Angeles in 2002, quickly booking her a television commercial and shortly thereafter a series regular role on the television pilot, TRASH, for Warner Brothers.

In 2012, Katherine co-founded Sterling Light Productions as a vehicle to continue her love for storytelling in all its facets. As vice president of the company, Mrs. Boecher thrives on overseeing productions and engaging new talent.
